CalorieTracker is a nutrition and calorie tracking application developed by Leon Jadrovski. This Privacy Policy explains what information CalorieTracker accesses, collects, processes, uses, shares, stores, retains, and deletes.

When you create or use a CalorieTracker account, Firebase Authentication may process your email address, Firebase user ID, authentication provider, and account creation or sign-in information.
If you use Google Sign-In, CalorieTracker may also receive basic profile information made available by Google, such as your display name and profile photo. CalorieTracker does not directly store or have access to your Google password. Password authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
CalorieTracker processes information that you enter or save, including food names, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, quantity, favorite foods, manually added foods, meal categories, and meal entries.
This food and meal information is stored locally on your device unless a feature specifically requires information to be sent to an external service, as explained below.
CalorieTracker requests camera access only when you use the Scan Food feature. A photo you capture is sent through our server to an artificial intelligence service for the purpose of identifying food and estimating nutrition information. CalorieTracker does not use the camera in the background.
When you use Scan Barcode, the scanned barcode is used to request product and nutrition information from Open Food Facts. Product names, nutrition values, and barcode information may also be sent through our server to an artificial intelligence service to generate a nutrition insight.
CalorieTracker does not sell user data and does not share user data for advertising.
Information may be processed by the following service providers only when needed to operate the relevant app feature:
These service providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. CalorieTracker shares only the information reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature.
Account data: Your email address, Firebase user ID, and authentication-related account information are retained by Firebase while your CalorieTracker account remains active. When you delete your account, CalorieTracker requests deletion of the Firebase Authentication account.
Locally stored app data: Meal history, saved foods, favorite foods, manually added foods, and related nutrition information are retained on your device until you delete your account through the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.
Food images: Food images are processed only to complete the requested food analysis. CalorieTracker does not intentionally save food images to persistent storage on its own server after the analysis request is completed. Third-party service providers may temporarily process or retain request data according to their own security, abuse-prevention, and legal requirements.
Barcode and analysis requests: CalorieTracker does not maintain a permanent server-side user history of scanned barcodes, product images, or generated nutrition insights. Information that you choose to save is stored locally on your device.
Deletion requests: Requests submitted by email are normally completed within 30 days after we receive enough information to identify the relevant account.
Limited information may be retained for longer only when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the security of users and services.
CalorieTracker uses secure HTTPS connections when transmitting information to supported external services. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Delete your account inside CalorieTracker:
Deleting your CalorieTracker account removes your Firebase Authentication account and CalorieTracker data stored locally on that device, including meal entries, favorite foods, and manually added foods. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleting a CalorieTracker account does not delete the user's separate Google account.
If you cannot access the app, you may request account and associated data deletion by visiting: https://stecsenoob.github.io/calorietracker-support/
You may also email support.calorietracker@gmail.com with the subject Delete CalorieTracker Account. Include the email address associated with your CalorieTracker account. Do not send your password.
Limited information may be retained only when required for legal compliance, security, fraud or abuse prevention, or dispute resolution. Any retained information will be kept only for as long as necessary for that purpose.
CalorieTracker is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
