CalorieTracker Account and Data Deletion

CalorieTracker is developed by Leon Jadrovski. Users can delete their CalorieTracker account and associated data directly inside the app or submit a deletion request by email.

Delete Your Account Inside the App

Deleting your account inside the app permanently deletes your CalorieTracker Firebase Authentication account and removes CalorieTracker data stored locally on that device, including meal entries, favorite foods, and manually added foods.

Deleting a CalorieTracker account does not delete your separate Google account.

Request Account Deletion Outside the App

If you cannot access CalorieTracker, send an email to:

support.calorietracker@gmail.com

Use the subject: Delete CalorieTracker Account

Include the email address associated with your CalorieTracker account. Do not send your password. We may request reasonable verification to prevent unauthorized account deletion.

Valid deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days after we receive enough information to identify the account.

Data Deleted After an Account Deletion Request

• The Firebase Authentication account used for CalorieTracker.
• The account email and Firebase user ID associated with CalorieTracker.
• Any CalorieTracker account data stored on systems controlled by the developer.

Locally Stored Data

Meal entries, favorite foods, manually added foods, and related nutrition information are stored locally on the user's device.

Deleting the account inside the app removes this local data from that device. If deletion is requested only by email, local data cannot be removed remotely. The user can remove it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling CalorieTracker.

Data Retention

Account information is retained while the CalorieTracker account remains active. After a valid deletion request is completed, the Firebase Authentication account and account identifiers controlled by the developer are deleted.

Food images submitted through Scan Food are used only to complete the requested analysis. CalorieTracker does not intentionally keep permanent copies of submitted food images on its own server after the analysis request is completed.

Scanned barcode data and generated nutrition insights are not kept as a permanent server-side history by CalorieTracker. Information that the user chooses to save remains stored locally on the device.

Data That May Be Retained

Limited information may be retained only when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud or abuse prevention, or dispute resolution. Any retained information will be kept only for as long as necessary for that purpose.

Third-party service providers may retain limited operational or security records according to their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
